About Us

Bobbe Hirsh is the Managing Member of Hirsh & Associates, LLC. She has  over 35 years of experience advising U.S. and foreign-based multinational companies, high net worth individuals, and executives in all matters of U.S. federal and international taxation. In addition to tax planning and advice, Ms. Hirsh  represents clients at all levels of tax controversy, including audit, appeals, rulings, closing agreements, competent authority proceedings, and tax litigation. 

She also has extensive experience with voluntary disclosures, including the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program, Streamlined Compliance Procedures, and Reasonable Cause penalty waiver filings. 

Ms. Hirsh formerly was a partner at a major international law firm, headed the international tax practice of the fifth largest accounting firm, and was the manager of tax planning for PepsiCo, Inc. She is also Of Counsel to the law firm of  Skarzynski Black LLC.

Ms. Hirsh has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in Tax Law and International Business and Trade Law, an Illinois Super Lawyer, and among the 100 Leading Women Lawyers in Illinois. She is listed in Who’s Who in America and various other Who’s Who publications. Ms. Hirsh is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell (its preeminent ranking) and is recommended by the UK based Practical Law Company in the areas of Taxation of Corporate Transactions and of Corporate Finance. She serves on the Boards of Advisors of the Journal of International Taxation and the Journal of Taxation of Financial Products. A frequent speaker for professional organizations, Ms. Hirsh is the author of over 50 tax publications.

Ms. Hirsh received her JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she was awarded the Williston Prize for contract negotiation and drafting and served as Articles Editor of the Harvard International Law Journal. 

She received her BA from Brown University and an MSBA in accounting from the University of Denver, where she was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi.

Ms. Hirsh is admitted to the New York and Illinois bars, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
